Outdoor Movie Night Committee – VOLUNTEER POSITIONS OPEN

• Do you enjoy coordinating events and want to help continue a Fall tradition at GES?

• Do you enjoy socializing and meeting new people?

 

PTO is looking for an event chair to coordinate our annual Outdoor Movie Night, which will be scheduled for late September/early October.

We have the movie screen and movie license, just need someone to help:
• Facilitate logistics of the evening with school administration
• Organize food trucks
• Facilitate the vote for movie choice
• Advertise the event
• Coordinate volunteers

Winter Festival Committee – VOLUNTEER POSITIONS OPEN

 

PTO is looking for an event chair and committee members to coordinate our annual Winter Festival, which is scheduled for Saturday, December 5th. 

​

Volunteers may be asked to help with things such as:

• Soliciting and coordinating vendors/crafters
• Gathering donations and prizes for the silent auction
• Producing themed photo backdrop & decorations
• Any extras such as hiring Santa/Grinch/etc for photo op
• Planning craft tables for kids to participate and organizing kid-friendly games and prizes
• Facilitating the elf shop
• Creating flyers and social media content to advertise event
• Soliciting and coordinating volunteers

Paint Night Committee – VOLUNTEER POSITIONS OPEN

 

PTO is looking for an event chair and committee members to coordinate our Paint Night with the Principals, which is scheduled for Friday, February 5th.

Volunteers may be asked to help with things such as:

• Working with admin to create a design to paint
• Facilitating a community RSVP
• Purchasing supplies
• Creating flyers and social media content to advertise event
• Soliciting and coordinating volunteers

Bingo Night Committee – VOLUNTEER POSITIONS OPEN

 

PTO is looking for an event chair and committee members to coordinate our annual Bingo Night, which is scheduled for Friday, April 9th. 

​

Volunteers may be asked to help with things such as:

• Soliciting and coordinating sponsors & donations from vendors as well as local and national businesses up to 3-4 months prior
• Planning and facilitating the 50/50 raffle or any other raffles/prizes
• Contacting and securing a Bingo caller
• Planning and purchasing food/beverages for concessions or securing food trucks
• Purchasing prizes for children & adult Bingo winners

• Creating graphics for TVs showing winning Bingo patterns per game
• Creating flyers and social media content to advertise event

Staff Appreciation – VOLUNTEER POSITIONS OPEN

• Do you enjoy planning surprises?

• Do you want to help show our staff just how much they're loved?

PTO is looking for committee members to help facilitate a variety of fun little things for the staff throughout the school year as well as Staff Appreciation Week in May. 

​

Beautification – VOLUNTEER POSITIONS OPEN

​

• Do you enjoy being outside and working in the yard?

• Would you like to volunteer on your own time without a set schedule?

​

PTO is looking for families to 'Adopt an Outdoor Space' on our school grounds. Responsibilities would include tasks such as pulling weeds, removing trash/debris and general maintenance of the area you adopt. No need for special mowers or other equipment! Come once or twice a month, on any day or time that is convenient for your schedule.

If you are interested, please email us at gesparent.teacher.organization@gmail.com. Ideally, we would prefer that families could commit to participating monthly for the full school year, but if you are only able to do a shorter length of time, just let us know! Once we know who would like to be involved, we can provide you with more information and designate zones!
